Refurbished laptops sold on Walmart’s online store are generally safe to buy. Similar to Amazon, Walmart sells both trough their own channel and third party sellers. In terms of quality the laptops are as good as the renovation process that was done. There are sellers that do a great job servicing their laptops, and there are those who only clean the device and don’t do any hardware checks whatsoever. Check the images (if real), the description, and the reviews for a hint about the quality of the device.

The sellers have to comply with Walmart’s rules and their 90 day return policy to be able to list their products on the site.  All refurbished devices must be Grade-A with no visible imperfections. The laptops must be inspected, cleaned, fixed, and all data wiped. The screens must be in perfect conditions – no scratches.
